BMW Won 2 Awards Scottish Car of The Year

BMW is celebrating, as it won 2 categories on the 2009 Scottish Car of the Year Awards. Its Jury was made by the ASMW (Association of Scottish Motoring Writers). The Z4, in this concurs got the Scottish Drop Top 2009 award; BMW got crowned, winning the Eco section for the EfficientDynamics program.

Bill Caven - ASMW's President said 'The Z4 boasts a fine pedigree of high performancd and thrills which few can match. Matched with briliant build quality and a slick folding roof mechanism this is the ultimate Scottish driving machine'.

Caven said about the program introduced 1st in 2007 'Different manufacturers have created different solutions to provide cleaner more efficient motoring, but BMW with its EfficientDynamics programmes have certainly provided a breath of fresh air in making us more aware of what clean should mean'.

Tim Abbott, the Managing Director of BMW Group UK accepted the prize saying: 'The Z4 has enjoyed high praise since its launch back in May and this award recognises its technical prowess and cements its position as one of the best roadters on the market.

Like all our cars, the Z4 has a number of EfficientDynamic features which help it deliver outstanding fuel economy and CO2 figures - particularly considering the performance it delivers. It is great to receive such recognitiom within the industry for EffientDynamics as this programme is so closely aligned with BMW's core values'.
